Decorex is Europe‘s leading interior design event of October. In 2022 the design fair brought together thousands of members of the design community. Decorex is a high-end interior design expo that has brought the finest of the design world together each year for the past 43 years. In this article, we will see the highlights of this interior design event that took place this week from the 9th to the 12 October.
Decorex, which was held from the 9th to the 12th of October at Olympia London, has showcased over 175 of the industry’s most renowned interior design businesses to inspire and thrill with their abundance of gorgeous items.
This was a much-anticipated design event, Decorex is carrying on a tradition of excellence and is a key event to reveal the latest trends in design for the Fall season. After all, Decorex is one of the most significant events for luxury brands. After 5 years this event has finally returned to meet clients and industry partners. The design event has prepared a plethora of gorgeous stands, immersive features, and numerous networking opportunities.

As soon as you enter Olympia London, you’re greeted by Bert Franke’s breathtaking Tree of Light entry feature. This was the ideal gathering point for guests and a fantastic way to kick off Decorex 2022.
A multitude of immersive elements awaited you at the design event. You could explore the new Diningscpaes features which had four room sets outfitted by our hand-picked designers: ND Studios, Christian Bense, Pandora Taylor, and Les Ottomans. It was a pleasure to explore these immersive places and to discover how they’ve decorated them with unique dinnerware, accessories, and more.
There was also many “Making Spaces,” a new feature for Decorex 2022, where a variety of artisans demonstrated their talents and techniques live at the exhibition. Nat Maks for instance showcased how she marbles her amazing wallpaper designs, and Ellen Merchant demonstrated her block printing techniques. Rycotewood, a wood furniture manufacturer, The Fabled Thread, an embroidery specialist, and QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Charity), was an art and craft educational trust established to preserve traditional British craftsmanship, are all collaborating in Making Spaces.
There was also a diverse range of brands, design studios and designers featured at this design event, each showing their most recent collections of spectacular furniture, textiles, lighting, decorative crafts, modern art, and more.
Decorex also offered a venue for debate and panel discussions, bringing together significant people to discuss subjects relevant to interior designers, property developers, product designers, and architects. They offered expert advice on everything from architectural design to high-end furniture trends will be available!
“What’s the winning recipe for companies to remain relevant in an ever-changing environment?” said Country Life’s Executive and Interiors Editor Giles Kime. is a lecture about how to future-proof your business and design. Ben Penthreath, an architect and interior designer, and Chris Gaffney, the CEO of Johnstons of Elgin, joined him.
This design event took place in the VIP Lounge and was conducted by Roger Saul, the designer of the premium brand Mulberry. The designer had the opportunity to describe his path in building the popular high-end brand, as well as its success.
Leading interior designers, including Iranian interior designer Alidad Mahloudji, were also invited for this design event to participat in a workshop organized by The English Home. The major purpose was to talk about how quality, workmanship, and sustainability all come together to make a long-lasting product.
