THANK YOU FOR YOUR REQUEST
We will be in touch soon.
The co-founder of WT Arch+Design, Wafi Tagleb, was a guest on the most recent episode of Home’Society‘s Design Talks. After graduating in 2006, this Syrian architect began his career in consulting and interior design. Since then, he had developed an astounding portfolio of amazing design work.
In order to continue working for interior design and consultancy firms, Wafi Tagleb relocated to Dubai at the end of 2011 and stayed there till 2020. Wafi Tagleb always wanted to start his own business and had the good fortune to work on fascinating residential projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, but he didn’t actually succeed in this goal until the end of 2020.
By reading this exclusive interview, which is a part of the Home’Society Design Talks program, which aims to explore everything in interior design, you may discover more about Wafi Tagleb’s path, character, and objectives.

Design inspiration, in Wafi Tagleb’s opinion, can come from a wide range of sources. He contends that, in addition to social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest, going on vacation or simply leaving the office can occasionally be the best ways to get inspiration for new works of art.
You encounter a wide range of cultures, people, and experiences when you travel. He asserted that by immersing yourself in a foreign environment, you might leave your comfort zone and find new openings for your creative activities.
Wafi Tagleb thinks that learning a little bit about each of the styles and how they differ from one another is a fantastic place to start when working on an interior design project. Depending on the preferences of his clients, he employs modern, contemporary, minimalist, new classic, or even classic design styles in his projects, but he always strives to steer them toward a better design option.
One of Wafi Tagleb’s most challenging duties is to present the most recent trends while still retaining a sense of timeless style. When a room becomes stale after a few months, you don’t want your client to be angry. One of the hardest things for him is keeping up with trends and understanding how to incorporate them gracefully.
His preferred movement is the “Back to Nature” movement. He and numerous other designers believe that nature, emotion, and timeless design are the three components of a dream home.
Designers should focus more on the furniture and lighting aspects when developing new ideas, and they should always put themselves in the user or customer’s shoes. The finest recommendation Wafi Tagleb has for aspiring designers.
Wafi Tagleb contends that our culture shapes the way we perceive the world. Diverse perspectives and extensive international personal and professional experience may provide fresh perspectives that motivate you to adopt novel worldviews.
Because his customers are likely to come from many different countries and hold a variety of values, he views Dubai as a little reflection of all the world’s cultures and finds this to be intriguing. He praised his favorite design, the first house to be built in Dubai in 2020, saying, “I still remember it as we did a tremendous job with the design and real work.” I consistently credit my clients’ feedback and contentment with my success.
“Believe me, if you put all of your beautiful thoughts in the design, the client will never reject it or dislike it. Defend on your ideas, but remember always that the key is to understand the client’s needs first, the more in-depth knowledge you have, the more it will help you to create amazing designs.”
